While the design field is abundant with tools that address the majority of UX, UI, and product designer needs, the 3D space has been left aside for quite some time. A lot of designers have been thinking to learn 3D fundamentals and crafting simple yet presentable solutions, but have been continuously discouraged by the complexity of existing professional tools. Spline, a new design tool for 3D tries to do the opposite and invites designers of all backgrounds to quickly design new compositions, export them to web environments, and make it interactive. In this video, I’ll give my first take on this tool and highlight some of the key features and improvement areas.
