The number of digital accessibility (a11y) lawsuits in US has increased almost tenfold in the last decade. And so it’s time to revisit the industry standards and the not-so-pleasant side of legal issues that come with poor product design strategy and priorities. Inclusive design is no longer an optional treatment for certain experiences, and as such product teams must focus on building accessibility-first products and services.
