Rightfully, most UX and product designers tend to focus on their technical skills, case studies. That’s definitely a must. Yet, the issue I see looking at countless of resumes and design portfolios is lack of personality or general dullness.

Fact is, any hiring manager will look for team and cultural fit, how well company values align with the designer ones – sometimes and more often than not this takes priority over the technical skills.

As the latter can be easily taught, whilst what you stand for is slow developing skillset. In this video I’ll pick a few no brainer options to showcase in your portfolio, starting with a simple photo, social feeds etc.
